hi mr. Argotow my animal is the dumbo octopus as you can see in the photo below

the 4 characteristics....

  • respond- The dumbo octopus is friendly and doesn't react when it is touched.

  • grow and develop- The dumbo octopus grows and reaches a height of 20 feet. also a cool fact is if his tentacle gets ripped off he can regrow it.

  • reproduce- The dumbo octopus reproduces by laying eggs all year long instead of having a breeding season. The eggs are usually quite large in size and when hatched, the young are quite advanced.

below explains how my animal is a LT

for food the dumbo octopus eats worms, crustaceans and bivalves. the dumbo octopus doesn't chew its food because it doesn't have teeth therefore the octopus swallows its food whole!

for water the dumbo octopus gets its water from what it eats it also gets nutrients from the animals (crusteans, crabs, and other underwater creatures)

for shelter the dumbo octopus lives in 7 different oceans.. they live on the ocean floor at extreme depths of 9800 to 13000 feet which is really deep.

for air the dumbo octopus breathes through gills in the octopuses mouth. since the octopus lives under water it breathes through its gills unlike other animals who breathe through there mouth.

WHERE IS THE DUMBO OCTOPUS FIT ON THE FOOD CHAIN?

I believe that the octopus fits into the food chain about right below the shark. However I think

that a squid would also be a very admerable opponet to the shark as well as the octoopus.
